About A Bunny and a Cat Sitting on a Crescent

Most of what turns up under background needs work before it is usable. A Bunny and a Cat Sitting on a Crescent is the version that does not. Only 1 person has saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. The designer behind it is Creativeguru.

We keep it filed mentally under beautiful, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Check the background: an illustration sold as a PNG with a soft halo will show that halo on every coloured page you place it on. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

It answers to animal, cartoon, children and clipart, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. The same shelf also answers to floral, botanical, flower, leaf and plant, so widen the search there before giving up on it. We filed it under Botanical and Animal Illustrations for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. Put next to the usual requests here — watercolor paintings, animal drawings, bird drawing, hibiscus flower drawing and flower drawings — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
