About Christmas Card, Handdrawn Pine Tree
This is the one we reach for when the request is advent calendar. Christmas Card, Handdrawn Pine Tree keeps it simple, which is why it sits here rather than in the reserve pile. It is Sprout Mockups's work. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. With 6 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size.
Our own plan for it is blush pink, because that is where this kind of file does the least arguing with you. Botanical and animal work is judged at the edges, so zoom in and see whether the leaves and the fur are drawn or blurred. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether advent calendar is really what you are getting.
The listing files it under canvas, card maker, christmas card and christmas tree — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. Put next to the usual requests here — watercolor paintings, animal drawings, bird drawing, hibiscus flower drawing and flower drawings — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often. We filed it under Botanical and Animal Illustrations for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. Nearby you will see floral, botanical, flower, leaf and plant, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite.

How to use this file
- Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
- Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
- Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
- Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
