About Ornament Frame

If abstract is what you came for, start here — Ornament Frame is the plainest reading of that request on the Botanical and Animal Illustrations shelf. It is Almairatype Studio's work. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. 1 save means nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up.

We keep it filed mentally under antique, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Botanical and animal work is judged at the edges, so zoom in and see whether the leaves and the fur are drawn or blurred. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether abstract is really what you are getting.

Filed as art, background, banner and baroque. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. Its home here is Botanical and Animal Illustrations — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on watercolor paintings, animal drawings, bird drawing, hibiscus flower drawing and flower drawings, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. People after this usually search floral, botanical, flower, leaf and plant too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
