About Vintage Calligraphic Elements.
If antique is what you came for, start here — Vintage Calligraphic Elements. is the plainest reading of that request on the Botanical and Animal Illustrations shelf. It comes from shahtech50. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. The save count is still small at 7, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus.
The obvious job for it is border, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. Botanical and animal work is judged at the edges, so zoom in and see whether the leaves and the fur are drawn or blurred. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.
The listing files it under antique frame, border elements, border line and borders frames — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. Put next to the usual requests here — watercolor paintings, animal drawings, bird drawing, hibiscus flower drawing and flower drawings — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often. We keep it under Botanical and Animal Illustrations, which is where to look if you want the rest of the botanical and animal illustrations we have gone through. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are floral, botanical, flower, leaf and plant and they stay on this page.

How to use this file
- Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
- Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
- Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
- Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
