About Vintage Frame

Ask for abstract and you get a hundred near-misses; Vintage Frame is one of the few that answers the question as asked. 1 save means nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. Credit goes to Almairatype Studio.

Botanical and animal art is judged on the edges: zoom into the preview and see whether the leaves and fur are drawn or blurred. If you want one use for it, take antique: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether abstract was the description or the aspiration.

The words on the listing are art, background, banner and border, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. We track what people actually type before they land here: watercolor paintings, animal drawings, bird drawing, hibiscus flower drawing and flower drawings. If that is roughly what you were after, this file is in the right family. On this site it lives on the Botanical and Animal Illustrations shelf, so it also turns up for people browsing botanical and animal illustrations rather than searching for it by name. Related wording on the shelf: floral, botanical, flower, leaf and plant. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
