About Vintage Frames Border Design

The reason Vintage Frames Border Design is here is abstract and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. Only 8 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. It comes from giorgadzephotography.

Botanical and animal art is judged on the edges: zoom into the preview and see whether the leaves and fur are drawn or blurred. Our own plan for it is antique, because that is where this kind of file does the least arguing with you. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every file on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

It answers to art, background, banner and book, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. On this site it lives on the Botanical and Animal Illustrations shelf, so it also turns up for people browsing botanical and animal illustrations rather than searching for it by name. We track what people actually type before they land here: watercolor paintings, animal drawings, bird drawing, hibiscus flower drawing and flower drawings. If that is roughly what you were after, this file is in the right family. People after this usually search floral, botanical, flower, leaf and plant too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
