About Vintage Rabbit on Aged Letter Paper

This is the one we reach for when the request is animal lover. Vintage Rabbit on Aged Letter Paper keeps it simple, which is why it sits here rather than in the reserve pile. Credit goes to Sprout Mockups. It has gone unnoticed so far. We found it worth shelving anyway. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict.

Our own plan for it is antique, because that is where this kind of file does the least arguing with you. Check the background: an illustration sold as a PNG with a soft halo will show that halo on every coloured page you place it on. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every file on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

The listing files it under aged letter, brown rabbit, bunny and canvas — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. What this shelf gets asked for is watercolor paintings, animal drawings, bird drawing, hibiscus flower drawing and flower drawings. That list is why these files are here and not some prettier ones. Related wording on the shelf: floral, botanical, flower, leaf and plant. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it. You will find it among the botanical and animal illustrations, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
