About Procreate Brush #27 – Abstract Suite

The reason Procreate Brush #27 – Abstract Suite is here is aesthetic and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. The save count is still small at 10, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. The designer behind it is ZaraRozaDesigns. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence.

Install one set at a time and give it a page of scribbles before keeping it — a pack of two hundred brushes usually holds six you will use. Put it to work on anime first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether aesthetic was the description or the aspiration.

The words on the listing are app, art, beginner and boho, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. Nearby you will see photoshop, illustrator and pencil set, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite. Put next to the usual requests here — procreate brushes, lineart brush ibispaint, procreate tutorial and line art brush ibis paint — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often. You will find it among the procreate and photoshop brushes, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
