About Desserts & Sweets Coloring Pages

Desserts & Sweets Coloring Pages is our bingsu pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. It sits at 94 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. Credit goes to Mimoshi Design.

We keep it filed mentally under cake, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. If you colour with paint rather than pencils, check the outline weight: thin lines disappear under a wet wash. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.

The words on the listing are candycoloring, chocolatecoloring, coloringforkids and coloringfun, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. It is shelved with the rest of the coloring pages, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one. The wording people arrive with is mandala drawing, manga drawing coloring and mandala art drawing, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are colouring and mandala and they stay on this page.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
