About Bird Flying One Line Drawing Illustrated

What we like about Bird Flying One Line Drawing Illustrated is how little it tries to be everything — it does abstract, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Line Art and References shelf. It stands at 5.0 out of 5 across 1 review, and we read the low scores first when there are any. It comes from Topstar. Only 87 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's.

We look for a sheet with several angles of the same subject rather than one perfect pose — practice needs the awkward views too. The obvious job for it is animals, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

The words on the listing are birds, blackbirds, continuous line and dinosaurs, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on drawing ideas, sketch ideas, flower drawing, drawing reference and anime drawing, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. Nearby you will see line art, outline, sketch, portrait and anatomy, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite. We filed it under Line Art and References for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
