About Comfy Girl Bold and Easy Coloring Book

We put Comfy Girl Bold and Easy Coloring Book on the Line Art and References shelf because adult coloring is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. The save count is still small at 7, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one. Credit goes to HueNestify.

The obvious job for it is aesthetic, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. Reference line art is for practice, so we pick the sheets with clean, unbroken outlines; a sketchy reference teaches you somebody else's shaky hand. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.

The words on the listing are beginner coloring, bold coloring, bold lines and bow coloring, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are line art, outline, sketch, drawing and portrait and they stay on this page. We filed it under Line Art and References for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. What this shelf gets asked for is drawing ideas, sketch ideas, flower drawing, drawing reference and anime drawing. That list is why these files are here and not some prettier ones.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
