About Cute Otter Coloring Pages for Children

Ask for adorable otter and you get a hundred near-misses; Cute Otter Coloring Pages for Children is one of the few that answers the question as asked. Only 9 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. It comes from Cozy Pik. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict.

The obvious job for it is baby otter, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. Reference line art is for practice, so we pick the sheets with clean, unbroken outlines; a sketchy reference teaches you somebody else's shaky hand. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

Type bold outline, coloring pages, coloring sheet and cute animal into the search above and this one comes back — the same file under four different habits of phrasing. We filed it under Line Art and References for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. The neighbouring searches are line art, sketch, drawing, portrait and anatomy — worth a look if this particular file is close but not quite it. The wording people arrive with is drawing ideas, sketch ideas, flower drawing, drawing reference and anime drawing, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
