About Four Decorative Flourishes
What we like about Four Decorative Flourishes is how little it tries to be everything — it does border element, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Line Art and References shelf. The save count is still small at 1, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. The designer behind it is Platinum Monograms.
We keep it filed mentally under calligraphy ornament, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Reference line art is for practice, so we pick the sheets with clean, unbroken outlines; a sketchy reference teaches you somebody else's shaky hand. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether border element was the description or the aspiration.
Search for classic embellishment, cnc cutting, cnc design and cnc router and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same file, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on drawing ideas, sketch ideas, flower drawing, drawing reference and anime drawing, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. You will find it among the line art and references, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job. The same shelf also answers to line art, outline, sketch, drawing and portrait, so widen the search there before giving up on it.

How to use this file
- Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
- Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
- Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
- Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
