About Groceries Healthy Food Illustration

This is the one we reach for when the request is blue cheese. Groceries Healthy Food Illustration keeps it simple, which is why it sits here rather than in the reserve pile. 2qnah made it. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. No saves on it yet — new files sit like that for a while, and it says nothing about the file.

The obvious job for it is bread, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. Reference line art is for practice, so we pick the sheets with clean, unbroken outlines; a sketchy reference teaches you somebody else's shaky hand. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

Search for butter, camembert, cartoon and cheese and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same file, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. The wording people arrive with is drawing ideas, sketch ideas, flower drawing, drawing reference and anime drawing, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. We keep it under Line Art and References, which is where to look if you want the rest of the line art and references we have gone through. Related wording on the shelf: line art, outline, sketch, drawing and portrait. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
