About Groceries Healthy Food Illustration

What we like about Groceries Healthy Food Illustration is how little it tries to be everything — it does blue cheese, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Line Art and References shelf. DEEMKA STUDIO made it. The save count is still small at 4, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one.

We keep it filed mentally under bread, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Reference line art is for practice, so clean unbroken outlines matter; a sketchy reference teaches you somebody else's shaky hand. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every file on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

Type butter, camembert, cartoon and cheese into the search above and this one comes back — the same file under four different habits of phrasing. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are line art, outline, sketch, drawing and portrait and they stay on this page. Judged against the requests we see — drawing ideas, sketch ideas, flower drawing, drawing reference and anime drawing — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs. On this site it lives on the Line Art and References shelf, so it also turns up for people browsing line art and references rather than searching for it by name.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
