About Hand Drawn Owl Outline Illustration

Ask for animal and you get a hundred near-misses; Hand Drawn Owl Outline Illustration is one of the few that answers the question as asked. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. graphicsleek made it. The save count is still small at 2, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus.

Reference line art is for practice, so clean unbroken outlines matter; a sketchy reference teaches you somebody else's shaky hand. It is the sort of file we keep around for the job that cannot wait for a redraw. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether animal is really what you are getting.

The listing files it under animal drawing, animal illustration, animal outline, animals and art — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on drawing ideas, sketch ideas, flower drawing, drawing reference and anime drawing, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. Related wording on the shelf: line art, sketch, portrait, anatomy and figure. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it. We filed it under Line Art and References for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
