About Hand Drawn Shine and Sparkle Starburst V

What we like about Hand Drawn Shine and Sparkle Starburst V is how little it tries to be everything — it does abstract, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Line Art and References shelf. It comes from DesignVectx. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. Only 1 person has saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's.

We look for a sheet with several angles of the same subject rather than one perfect pose — practice needs the awkward views too. Put it to work on accent first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.

Type art, badge, black and bright into the search above and this one comes back — the same file under four different habits of phrasing. Put next to the usual requests here — drawing ideas, sketch ideas, flower drawing, drawing reference and anime drawing — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often. We keep it under Line Art and References, which is where to look if you want the rest of the line art and references we have gone through. Related wording on the shelf: line art, outline, sketch, drawing and portrait. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
