About Rectangular Banner with Butterflies

We put Rectangular Banner with Butterflies on the Line Art and References shelf because abstract is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. Only 28 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. The listing shows 5.0 out of 5 on 1 review, which is better evidence than the thumbnail. Credit goes to Blackmoon9.

Reference line art is for practice, so clean unbroken outlines matter; a sketchy reference teaches you somebody else's shaky hand. Put it to work on animal first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether abstract is really what you are getting.

The words on the listing are art, asymmetric, background and beautiful, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. We keep it under Line Art and References, which is where to look if you want the rest of the line art and references we have gone through. We track what people actually type before they land here: drawing ideas, sketch ideas, flower drawing, drawing reference and anime drawing. If that is roughly what you were after, this file is in the right family. Nearby you will see line art, outline, sketch, drawing and portrait, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
