About Retro Synth Keyboard Silhouette

Retro Synth Keyboard Silhouette is our analog pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. With 1 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one. It is theresumepark's work.

Reference line art is for practice, so we pick the sheets with clean, unbroken outlines; a sketchy reference teaches you somebody else's shaky hand. We keep it filed mentally under audio, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.

The words on the listing are black and white and clipart, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. We track what people actually type before they land here: drawing ideas, sketch ideas, flower drawing, drawing reference and anime drawing. If that is roughly what you were after, this file is in the right family. On this site it lives on the Line Art and References shelf, so it also turns up for people browsing line art and references rather than searching for it by name. Nearby you will see line art, outline, sketch, drawing and portrait, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
