About Speed Lines, Motion Lines Collection
What we like about Speed Lines, Motion Lines Collection is how little it tries to be everything — it does abstract, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Line Art and References shelf. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. 55 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. The designer behind it is G93.
Reference line art is for practice, so we pick the sheets with clean, unbroken outlines; a sketchy reference teaches you somebody else's shaky hand. The obvious job for it is acceleration, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.
It answers to action, beam, black and book, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. Judged against the requests we see — drawing ideas, sketch ideas, flower drawing, drawing reference and anime drawing — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs. It is shelved with the rest of the line art and references, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one. Nearby you will see line art, outline, sketch, drawing and portrait, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite.

How to use this file
- Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
- Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
- Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
- Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
