About Vector Splat Shapes Black and White

The reason Vector Splat Shapes Black and White is here is abstract and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. The save count is still small at 1, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. DesignVectx made it. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge.

Put it to work on black first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Reference line art is for practice, so we pick the sheets with clean, unbroken outlines; a sketchy reference teaches you somebody else's shaky hand. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every file on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

The listing files it under bold, burst, bursting and burstline — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. You will find it among the line art and references, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job. The neighbouring searches are line art, outline, sketch, drawing and portrait — worth a look if this particular file is close but not quite it. The searches that bring people to this shelf are drawing ideas, sketch ideas, flower drawing, drawing reference and anime drawing — this one sits in the middle of that group rather than off to the side of it.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
