About Buffalo Plaid SVG

Buffalo Plaid SVG is our abstract pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. It comes from George Khelashvili. With 46 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size.

If it is going on paper, look for the largest size the file supports — an illustration that is perfect on screen can be grainy in print. We keep it filed mentally under art, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether abstract is really what you are getting.

The listing files it under backdrop, background, black and blanket — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. What this shelf gets asked for is doodle art, art sketches, sketchbook art inspiration, art drawings sketches and line art. That list is why these files are here and not some prettier ones. Related wording on the shelf: illustration, clipart, clip art and printable. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it. We keep it under Printable Illustrations, which is where to look if you want the rest of the printable illustrations we have gone through.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
