About Geometric Forms with Scalloped Edges

We put Geometric Forms with Scalloped Edges on the Printable Illustrations shelf because abstract is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. The designer behind it is VikkiShop. Only 45 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge.

If you want one use for it, take border: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. If it is going on paper, look for the largest size the file supports — an illustration that is perfect on screen can be grainy in print. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.

Type box, burst, callout and circle into the search above and this one comes back — the same file under four different habits of phrasing. Its home here is Printable Illustrations — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing. Nearby you will see illustration, clipart, clip art, printable and art, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite. Put next to the usual requests here — doodle art, art sketches, sketchbook art inspiration, art drawings sketches and line art — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
