About Girl Playing Silhouette Retro Vintage

What we like about Girl Playing Silhouette Retro Vintage is how little it tries to be everything — it does child, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Printable Illustrations shelf. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. The designer behind it is Topstar. The save count is still small at 16, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus.

If it is going on paper, look for the largest size the file supports — an illustration that is perfect on screen can be grainy in print. If you want one use for it, take classmates: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.

The words on the listing are children, family, friends and fun, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. Nearby you will see illustration, clipart, clip art, printable and art, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite. What this shelf gets asked for is doodle art, art sketches, sketchbook art inspiration, art drawings sketches and line art. That list is why these files are here and not some prettier ones. Its home here is Printable Illustrations — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
