About Mid Century Modern Abstract Shapes

If you want the uncomplicated option, Mid Century Modern Abstract Shapes is it — and most of the time the uncomplicated option is the one you end up using. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. It comes from Rin Green. We are not the first to notice: 166 makers saved it on Creative Fabrica before we did, and that number is the closest thing to a verdict the platform gives.

If it is going on paper, look for the largest size the file supports — an illustration that is perfect on screen can be grainy in print. We would reach for it when the deadline matters more than the flourish. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

The same shelf also answers to clipart, clip art and art, so widen the search there before giving up on it. The wording people arrive with is doodle art, art sketches, sketchbook art inspiration, art drawings sketches and line art, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. Its home here is Printable Illustrations — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
