About Trending Halloween PNG, Halloween Dog

We went back and forth on Trending Halloween PNG, Halloween Dog and kept it, because the alternative was a shelf full of files that look better than they work. 470 people have saved it over there, which tells us the idea works for more than just us. The designer behind it is GraphicPicker. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence.

This is a safe default rather than a statement piece, and most jobs want the safe default. If you plan to print it, look for the largest size the file supports — an illustration that is perfect on screen can be grainy on paper. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every file on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

It is shelved with the rest of the printable illustrations, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one. People after this usually search clipart, clip art and art too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place. What this shelf gets asked for is doodle art, art sketches, sketchbook art inspiration, art drawings sketches and line art. That list is why these files are here and not some prettier ones.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
