About Children Ball Illustrations
What we like about Children Ball Illustrations is how little it tries to be everything — it does beautiful, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Textures and Effects shelf. It sits at 1 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one. It comes from sweetmangodsn.
If you want one use for it, take beauty: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. A texture is only as useful as the resolution it ships at, so check it covers the canvas you work on before building a piece around it. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
Filed as ball, cartoon, child and cinderella. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. We keep it under Textures and Effects, which is where to look if you want the rest of the textures and effects we have gone through. Judged against the requests we see — action poses reference drawing, tattoo style drawings, paper airplane drawing, manga style drawing and paper boat drawing — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs. The same shelf also answers to texture, effect, action, overlay and style, so widen the search there before giving up on it.

How to use this file
- Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
- Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
- Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
- Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
