About Shine Line, Sparkle, & Comicstyle Burst

We put Shine Line, Sparkle, & Comicstyle Burst on the Textures and Effects shelf because abstract is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. shahtech50 made it. The save count is still small at 17, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus.

We would use it the way the listing hints — backdrop — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. A texture is only as useful as the resolution it ships at, so check it covers the canvas you work on before building a piece around it. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether abstract was the description or the aspiration.

Type background, beam, bright and burn into the search above and this one comes back — the same file under four different habits of phrasing. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are texture, effect, action, overlay and add-on and they stay on this page. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on action poses reference drawing, tattoo style drawings, paper airplane drawing, manga style drawing and paper boat drawing, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. It is shelved with the rest of the textures and effects, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
