About Butterfly Logo

If wings is what you came for, start here — Butterfly Logo is the plainest reading of that request on the Botanical and Animal Illustrations shelf. 2 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. rohady286 made it. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge.

Botanical and animal art is judged on the edges: zoom into the preview and see whether the leaves and fur are drawn or blurred. We keep it filed mentally under fly, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether wings is really what you are getting.

Filed as animal. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. The wording people arrive with is watercolor paintings, animal drawings, bird drawing, hibiscus flower drawing and flower drawings, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. The neighbouring searches are floral, botanical, flower, leaf and plant — worth a look if this particular file is close but not quite it. We keep it under Botanical and Animal Illustrations, which is where to look if you want the rest of the botanical and animal illustrations we have gone through.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
