About Monkey Logo

We put Monkey Logo on the Botanical and Animal Illustrations shelf because forest is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. It sits at 1 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it. It comes from rohady286. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence.

We keep it filed mentally under logo, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Botanical and animal work is judged at the edges, so zoom in and see whether the leaves and the fur are drawn or blurred. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

Filed as animal. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. We filed it under Botanical and Animal Illustrations for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. The neighbouring searches are floral, botanical, flower, leaf and plant — worth a look if this particular file is close but not quite it. The wording people arrive with is watercolor paintings, animal drawings, bird drawing, hibiscus flower drawing and flower drawings, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
