About 10 Antique Vintage Flowers Vol 5

We put 10 Antique Vintage Flowers Vol 5 on the Line Art and References shelf because acuarela is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. Only 4 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. The designer behind it is Rahallus Ntx. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict.

Our own plan for it is aquarelle, because that is where this kind of file does the least arguing with you. Reference line art is for practice, so clean unbroken outlines matter; a sketchy reference teaches you somebody else's shaky hand. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether acuarela is really what you are getting.

If you came in looking for art, arte, artist and artistsoninstagram, you are in the right place — the listing carries all of those, which is the clearest sign the designer built it for that job rather than retitled it afterwards. Nearby you will see line art, outline, sketch, drawing and portrait, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite. Judged against the requests we see — drawing ideas, sketch ideas, flower drawing, drawing reference and anime drawing — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs. We filed it under Line Art and References for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
