About Leaf Pattern Borders Vector Art

Leaf Pattern Borders Vector Art is our artwork pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. DesignVectx made it. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one. No saves on it yet — new files sit like that for a while, and it says nothing about the file.

We look for a sheet with several angles of the same subject rather than one perfect pose — practice needs the awkward views too. The obvious job for it is black, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

Search for black and white, border, border design and botanical and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same file, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. We keep it under Line Art and References, which is where to look if you want the rest of the line art and references we have gone through. The wording people arrive with is drawing ideas, sketch ideas, flower drawing, drawing reference and anime drawing, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are line art, outline, sketch, drawing and portrait and they stay on this page.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
