About Monkey Logo

Monkey Logo is one we kept when we last trimmed this shelf: it does its one job and does not ask for attention while doing it. Only 1 person has saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. The designer behind it is rohady286.

We would use it the way the listing hints — monkey — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. Botanical and animal work is judged at the edges, so zoom in and see whether the leaves and the fur are drawn or blurred. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether botanical and animal illustrations was the description or the aspiration.

Type animal and illustration into the search above and this one comes back — the same file under four different habits of phrasing. You will find it among the botanical and animal illustrations, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job. The wording people arrive with is watercolor paintings, animal drawings, bird drawing, hibiscus flower drawing and flower drawings, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. Related wording on the shelf: floral, flower, leaf, plant and bird. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
