About Monkey Logo

Monkey Logo earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to banana, and straight answers are rarer in this file catalogue than you would think. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. It is rohady286's work. With 1 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size.

If you want one use for it, take forest: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Botanical and animal art is judged on the edges: zoom into the preview and see whether the leaves and fur are drawn or blurred. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every file on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

Filed as animal, icon and logo. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are floral, botanical, flower, leaf and plant and they stay on this page. The wording people arrive with is watercolor paintings, animal drawings, bird drawing, hibiscus flower drawing and flower drawings, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. It is shelved with the rest of the botanical and animal illustrations, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
