About Fast Food Illustration

What we like about Fast Food Illustration is how little it tries to be everything — it does american, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Line Art and References shelf. Role Graphic is the name on the listing. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. Only 1 person has saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's.

Put it to work on background first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Reference line art is for practice, so we pick the sheets with clean, unbroken outlines; a sketchy reference teaches you somebody else's shaky hand. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether american is really what you are getting.

The words on the listing are breakfast, burger and cartoon, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. The same shelf also answers to line art, outline, sketch, drawing and portrait, so widen the search there before giving up on it. Its home here is Line Art and References — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing. What this shelf gets asked for is drawing ideas, sketch ideas, flower drawing, drawing reference and anime drawing. That list is why these files are here and not some prettier ones.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
