About Playful Dachshund Greeting Card

Playful Dachshund Greeting Card is our animal portrait pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. Credit goes to GookkisStudio. The save count is at zero, so there is nothing to lean on but the preview and our reading of it. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict.

We keep it filed mentally under birthday card, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Reference line art is for practice, so clean unbroken outlines matter; a sketchy reference teaches you somebody else's shaky hand. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether animal portrait was the description or the aspiration.

It answers to card design, clean linework, confetti and cute dog, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. You will find it among the line art and references, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job. People after this usually search line art, outline, sketch, drawing and anatomy too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place. What this shelf gets asked for is drawing ideas, sketch ideas, flower drawing, drawing reference and anime drawing. That list is why these files are here and not some prettier ones.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
