About Minimalist Botanical Line Drawing

Minimalist Botanical Line Drawing is our artwork pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. SKShagor Barmon made it. Only 1 person has saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist.

We look for a sheet with several angles of the same subject rather than one perfect pose — practice needs the awkward views too. Put it to work on black and white first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

Search for botanical, bouquet, clip art and concepts and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same file, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. The searches that bring people to this shelf are drawing ideas, sketch ideas, flower drawing, drawing reference and anime drawing — this one sits in the middle of that group rather than off to the side of it. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are line art, outline, sketch, portrait and anatomy and they stay on this page. We filed it under Line Art and References for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end.

How to use this file

  1. Download the set from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — brush sets arrive as .brushset for Procreate or .abr for Photoshop.
  2. Open the brush file on the iPad and it installs itself into a new set; in Photoshop, drag the .abr onto the canvas.
  3. Try every brush once on a scrap canvas and delete the ones you will not use — a bloated brush list slows you down more than it helps.
  4. Keep reference sheets at full size in a separate folder: downscaled references hide exactly the detail you needed them for.
